"Brand Soapbox"

Animated banners served as a continuation of a Brand Values campaign demonstrating how HSBC respects customers various points-of-views. The banners invited participants to an event in Madison Square Park where they could stand on an HSBC soapbox and share their views with the world. This event was filmed for use in a TV spot, as well as for content populating a Soapbox micro-site.

 
 
 

"Math of Life"

With all the changes in the current global economy, the ways in which we live our lives are being redefined personally and financially, as are the ways we are all connected. This 360 campaign was shot by Jake Chessum of New York Look Bookfame. The talent are real people pulled from the streets of New York.

The micro-site featured an interactive globe that rotated when the cursor moved over it. When the user clicked on one of the globe locations, a "plus/minus" profile appeared. Users could also upload their own "plus/minus" pictures and provfile, as well as access an app that provided financial advice and coupons.

For the newspaper print campaign, the ads were specifically concepted and designed for maximum impact, with either two half spreads covering the top half of the page, or small space columns.

The direct mail campaign, also included as an in-branch take-one, continued with a "Seeds Giveaway." Postcards were printed on paper that had carrot seeds embedded within. All the customers had to do was dampen the card, place it in the ground and watch the carrots grow.

HSBC SME (Small/Medium Enterprises) is an account that has features created for the specific needs of small to medium business owners.
